1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Menteez, available at menteez.in and through the Menteez mobile applications.
Menteez is owned and operated by Spherical-Lab Innovation Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN: U74909OD2025PTC048511, GSTIN: 21ABPCS6069J1ZV), with its registered office at Software Technology Park of India, Sector-5, Rourkela, Odisha 769002, India.
In these Terms, "we", "us", "our" and "Menteez" mean Spherical-Lab Innovation Private Limited. "You" means the adult who holds the account. "Your child" means a student whose profile you create.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, our Child Privacy Policy, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. They form part of your agreement with us.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using Menteez, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a school, tuition centre, or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" means that organisation.
3. Who may use Menteez
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to hold an account.
Children cannot hold accounts. A child uses Menteez only through a profile that you create and control within your account. You remain responsible for that profile and for your child's use of the service.
By adding a child profile, you confirm that you are the parent or lawful guardian of that child and that you consent to us processing their personal data as described in our Child Privacy Policy.
4. What Menteez does
Menteez helps you generate, assign, and review practice worksheets for your child, and shows you how they are progressing.
Menteez is a supplementary learning tool. It is not a school, not a tutor, and not a substitute for your child's education. We do not promise any particular academic result, examination outcome, or improvement.
5. Your account
You are responsible for:
- Giving us accurate information, and keeping it up to date
- Keeping your password and your PIN confidential
- Everything that happens under your account
Your PIN protects the parent area of your account, including billing and settings, from being opened by a child. Please choose one your child cannot guess, and do not share it with them.
Tell us promptly at support@menteez.in if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
6. Child profiles
You may create one child profile for each subscription seat you hold. If you want to add another child, you will need to add a seat.
During the free trial, you can add up to 2 children. If you have more, you can add them once your subscription starts.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter about your child, and for supervising their use of the service. You can view, correct, or delete a child profile at any time from Settings.
7. Subscriptions, trial, and payment
Your free trial
Every new subscription begins with a 3-day free trial. We ask for a payment method when you sign up, but we do not charge it during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged at all.
The trial is a working sample rather than unlimited use. During the 3 days:
- You can add up to 2 children
- You can create one worksheet for each subject available to your child's class
- Each worksheet can contain up to 15 questions
After a worksheet, you can tell us what you thought of it. Doing so unlocks one more worksheet in that same subject. Feedback is optional, it is per subject, and the extra worksheet is yours as soon as you send it.
Everything else behaves normally. Your child attempts the worksheets, and you see their results exactly as you would on a paid subscription. All of these limits are removed when you subscribe.
The trial is one per household.
When we charge you
If you have not cancelled, your subscription begins at the end of day 3, and we charge your registered payment method. It then renews automatically, monthly or annually depending on the plan you chose, until you cancel.
We will always notify you at least 24 hours before we take a payment, stating the amount, the date, and how to cancel. This applies to the first charge at the end of your trial and to every renewal after it.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your card number, UPI PIN, or banking credentials.
If we change our prices, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance. A new price never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from Settings, without contacting us and without giving a reason. Cancelling stops future payments; it does not refund the period you are currently in.

8. Organisation codes and institutional subscriptions
If your child is enrolled through a school, tuition centre, or similar organisation, you may be given an organisation code.
Where the organisation pays, your access depends on its agreement with us. If that agreement ends, your access may end with it, and we will give you notice where we can.
Where you pay a discounted rate using the code, these Terms apply to you as normal at the discounted price.
We may verify your child's enrolment against information the organisation has given us. If a code is used without entitlement, we may withdraw the discount or suspend the subscription.
9. Acceptable use
Please use Menteez sensibly. You agree not to:
- Share your account with anyone outside your household, or resell access
- Copy, scrape, republish, or redistribute our questions, worksheets, or explanations
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Interfere with, disrupt, probe, or overload the service
- Use automated tools to extract content
- Use the service unlawfully, or to infringe anyone's rights
10. Our content and intellectual property
All content in Menteez, including questions, worksheets, explanations, text, design, and software, belongs to us or to our licensors and is protected by law.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Menteez for your household's own educational purposes while your subscription is active. That licence does not allow classroom distribution, commercial use, or redistribution of any kind.
The work your child produces, meaning their answers and results, belongs to you and your child. We process it only as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Learning material and how it is produced
Our questions are prepared in advance and reviewed by qualified teachers before they become available to any child. We take that review seriously and it is a commitment we hold ourselves to.
Even so, no question bank is perfect. Errors and ambiguities can survive review. Please treat our worksheets as practice material to be used alongside your child's schooling, and review the results with your child rather than relying on them alone.
If you find a question you believe is wrong, please tell us at support@menteez.in. We will review it and correct or withdraw it where appropriate.
We do not guarantee that our material matches every school's interpretation of a syllabus, or the specific requirements of any examination board.
12. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep Menteez available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to suspend it for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
We may add, change, or remove features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what your subscription provides, we will tell you, and you may cancel.
13. Suspension and termination
By you
You may stop using Menteez at any time. Cancel your subscription from Settings, and delete your account from Settings if you want your data removed. Deletion is explained in our Privacy Policy.
By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You materially breach these Terms, in particular §9
- Payment fails repeatedly and is not resolved
- We are required to by law
- Continuing would expose us, another user, or a child to harm or legal risk
Except where the breach is serious, or we are legally obliged to act immediately, we will give you notice and a reasonable chance to put things right.
If we terminate your account without your being at fault, we will refund the unused portion of any period you have paid for.
On termination, your licence under §10 ends. Your data is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your rights under Indian consumer-protection law are not affected by anything in this section.
Subject to that:
- Menteez is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular educational outcome.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, or opportunity.
- Our total liability to you in connection with the service, in any 12-month period, is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against reasonable claims, losses, and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your infringement of another person's rights. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own breach or negligence.
16. Privacy
We process personal data about you and your child as described in our Privacy Policy and, specifically for children, our Child Privacy Policy.
In brief: your child's personal data stays in India, we show your child no advertising, we do not track your child's behaviour, and we never use your child's data to train artificial-intelligence models.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights or what you pay, we will tell you by email and in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel before then if you do not accept it.
We will always publish the version number and effective date. Continuing to use Menteez after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Rourkela, Odisha shall have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any right you may have under consumer-protection law to bring proceedings elsewhere.
Before starting proceedings, please raise the matter with us under §19. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.
19. Complaints and grievances
If something has gone wrong, contact us first at support@menteez.in.
If you are not satisfied, escalate to our Grievance Officer:

We respond to grievances within 7 days.
For complaints specifically about personal data, you may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
20. General
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in §1, are the whole agreement between us about Menteez.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not lose it.
Assignment. You may not transfer your account. We may transfer our rights and obligations if our business is transferred, and we will tell you if that happens.
